The entire website or portal with which the user interacts represents Tableau. Tableau is a technology for visualizing data for users. For this purpose, the data is presented in tables, graphs and various figures, depending on the use case. Tab-leau visualizes data from various data sources in clear reports. Reports are the predefined presentation of tables, graphs and various figures for specific use cases. The reports offer selected users the opportunity to use the information in the reports to improve their specific business fields. So that users can achieve better their goals. Tableau represents a central location where different reports can be made available for specific use cases.

1. Authorised users and access rights

1.1 Only employees of Volkswagen AG, NSC’s, staff in the importers’ sales, product marketing and after sales depart-ments or their wider digital business environment (hereinafter users) may use Tableau Reports.
1.2 Initial user authentication takes place on the Cloud IDP. This is a technical feature which ensures strong authentica-tion using the PKI, Secure ID and TOTP (time-based one-time password) security methods to enable access to differ-ent Volkswagen AG applications worldwide. The Tableau Portal an application which can only be accessed after logging into Cloud IDP. After logging into Cloud IDP, the Tableau Portal is password-protected and can only be used with the consent of the responsible person of the specific Tableau Report and only once the user has been granted access rights.
1.3 In accordance with the principle of data minimisation, every user of the Tableau portal only has access to the dash-board for the key figures that are relevant to them. In addition, he needs the approval of the person responsible for the specific tableau reporting so that he gets access to the dashboard.
1.4 The access rights to the portal are non-transferable. Users may not share their access data with other employees or third parties in any way.
1.5 Volkswagen AG reserves the right to revoke a user’s access rights at any time. This applies in particular if a user infringes these Terms of Use. A user may no longer use the portal once their access rights have been revoked.
2. Function and purpose of the portal
2.1 The Tableau portal offers through visualization technology the possibility to display data in dashboards. Various Tableau reports for different user groups are provided via the portal. The purpose of the portal is that the users are better informed by the portal about their business topics they allowed to access. The portal must be used as intended.
2.2 The Tableau portal is used exclusively for commercial purposes. Use of the portal for any other, in particular private, purposes is prohibited.
3. User’s usage rights and rules of conduct
3.1 The user is granted the non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable right to use the portal or parts thereof in accordance with these Terms of Use.
3.2 The copyright, names, trademarks and other property rights of Volkswagen AG and third parties must be observed when using the website. Among other elements, images, music and brand names such as “Volkswagen” and “Golf” that are pre-sented on these pages by Volkswagen AG are protected. The accessibility of the website does not constitute the granting of a licence or other right of use. Any improper use of the website is prohibited; this includes, in particular:
- Circumventing security measures
- Using any system or running any application which could result in damage to systems or cause them to malfunction,
in particular by making any change to the physical or logical architecture of Volkswagen AG servers or networks or other networks
- Integrating parts of the website into other private or commercial advertising content.
4. No acceptance of liability by Volkswagen
4.1 All of the information provided on this website by Volkswagen has been carefully reviewed. However, Volkswagen cannot guarantee that the website is complete, correct, up to date and constantly available. Volkswagen shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of following advice or recommendations published on the website, without prejudice to responsibilities arising from an agreement, a tort or delict, or any other requirement.
4.2 Volkswagen AG may, at its own discretion, modify or cease operation of the portal, either in full or in part, at any time and without giving notice. The company is under no obligation to keep the portal up to date at all times.
5. Responsibility of Volkswagen AG, liability
5.1 Volkswagen AG shall not be liable for the content of third-party websites. Volkswagen AG therefore accepts no responsi-bility for the content or availability of third-party websites that may be accessed via links. Volkswagen AG expressly disso-ciates itself from content which may infringe on criminal or liability-related laws, or which could be considered contrary to accepted standards of public decency. If Volkswagen AG becomes aware of illegal content on third-party websites, it will remove the relevant link immediately.
5.2 Volkswagen AG shall be liable for a breach of contractual duties through slight negligence for all claims for damages and reimbursement for expenses due to a culpable breach of duty based on the content of its website, whereby this liability shall be limited to typical and foreseeable loss or damage. Otherwise, Volkswagen AG shall not be liable for slightly negligent breaches of duty. The limitation of liability outlined above shall not apply in cases of strict liability and for damages incurred as a result of injury to life, limb or health or under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
6. Final provisions
6.1 Volkswagen AG reserves the right to make changes to these Terms of Use within reason for the user and only with future effect. Users must always observe the most recent version of the Terms of Use.
6.2 Should one or more provisions of these Terms of Use be or become void, the validity of these Terms of Use shall in no way be affected. In such case, the invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision coming as close as possible to the economic purpose of the invalid provision. The same applies to gaps in the Agreement.
6.3 This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) shall not apply.
6.4 The sole place of jurisdiction for the settlement of all claims arising from or in relation to this website is the court of com-petent jurisdiction for Volkswagen AG.
6.5 By using this website, the user confirms that they agree to the above provisions.
